Terms and conditions
1. Who provides the service
Clavoware is a service operated by Felipe Cabrera Bisio, a sole proprietor registered as C.I. 54.587.993, domiciled in Montevideo, Uruguay. In these terms, “Clavoware”, “we”, or “the provider” refer to that ownership. The contact for any question about these terms, a purchase, or the service is [email protected].
2. What Clavoware is
Clavoware is expiry-control software for supermarkets, grocery stores, and retail businesses. We do not sell physical products: the service is a web and mobile application (available at app.clavoware.com) a business uses to scan goods on arrival, record their expiry date, and receive daily alerts before that stock expires, so it can be discounted, repositioned, or pulled while it still has value.
3. How the service is subscribed to
The service is contracted entirely online, with no salesperson involved and no paper signature:
- The business signs up at app.clavoware.com with the email and details of the person who will administer the account, creating its own account (a “tenant”) and its first store.
- That sign-up opens a free 30-day trial with full access to the “Store” plan’s features. No credit card is required to start the trial, and nothing is charged during those 30 days.
- When the trial ends, to keep using Clavoware the business chooses a paid plan (Store, or Chain for more than one store) and adds a payment method. The subscription is charged in arrears each month through Stripe or MercadoPago, depending on the business’s country and currency.
- The Chain plan includes, in addition to the software, an assisted rollout and initial training for the business’s team; it is not custom development, just a guided launch of the same product every customer uses.
4. Billing and cancellation
The subscription renews automatically every month until cancelled. Cancellation is done from the account settings in the application, or by writing to [email protected] if the business prefers to request it that way. On cancellation, access remains until the end of the period already paid for, and no new charges are made after that date.
5. Refunds
Since Clavoware is a subscription service, not a physical product, there are no shipments or returns of goods. Nothing is charged during the trial period, so there is nothing to refund. Outside the trial, a charge already made for a month of service is not retroactively refunded for a later cancellation within that same period; paid access remains until the end of that month. If a charge was made in error or duplicated by a payment-system failure, write to us at [email protected] and we will fix it.
6. Data and camera use
The application uses the device’s camera only to read barcodes when scanning goods; that image is processed on the device itself and is never stored. The data a business loads (products, expiry dates, its team’s users) belongs to that business and is used exclusively to provide it the service.
7. Contact
Any question about these terms, an active subscription, or how the service works can be sent to [email protected] or through the site’s contact form.
These terms were originally written in Spanish, the language of Clavoware’s legal registration in Uruguay; if this translation and the Spanish version disagree, the Spanish version governs.
